Rumbleverse
I make notes of all the different games I want to give attention to.
Some of them are playing the game. Others are writing reviews, and still
others are writing some FFG Original article on. Rumbleverse is an
online battle royale video game that was around for a short amount of
time. I had it on my list to write a review at some point in time. Well
that point in time has arrived like the video series Temptations of Time
that we are running right now on our YouTube channel. I did a live
stream of Rumbleverse and played it again later a few times. Rumbleverse
never really impressed me. Rumbleverse was once on the PC, PS4, PS5,
Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Look for a full review of Rumbleverse in
issue #213 of the always amazing Family Friendly Gaming e-magazine.
The concept of Rumbleverse is actually pretty interesting and pretty
cool. Take the Fortnite formula and have characters do professional
wrestling moves on one another. This is right where Rumbleverse stops
being cool. The controls are questionable at best. I would come up to
another player and try to do a certain move. Guess what happened?
Nothing. If it was a bot they would perform the move on me after it
failed on them. They did not block or anything. There are different
power ups that can be earned in Rumbleverse. Plenty of players would
camp those to take out other players with the standard punches and
kicks. Why? Those moves actually worked. The publisher for Rumbleverse
is Epic Games. The developer for Rumbleverse is Iron Galaxy.
