Little Einsteins
SCORE: 90
Little Einsteins is an animated television series on Playhouse Disney. The Gameboy Advance (GBA) video game of the same name follows characters from this show teaching children wonderful lessons. Players can interactively develop critical learning concepts like cognitive thinking, problem solving, music and art appreciation just to name a few. Buena Vista Games included skill level settings for players of different developmental stages. Not only are the main characters from the show present, but so is Rocket. It is wonderful to see games like this available for parents to use as a teaching tool for their kids.
There is an amazing amount of colors used in Little Einsteins on the GBA. The upbeat, bright, and uplifting color scheme makes this one wonderful video game to play. The details are a little above average for this older hand held video game machine. Some of the mini games animate better than others. There are a few that have some small graphics, and others that have rather large graphics. I did not find one offensive images while playing this ‘E’ for Everyone rated video game.
Classical music may sound better on a CD, but Buena Vista Games did a good job with it in Little Einsteins. Players are taught classical music and which composer made certain pieces. This is such a treat to find within a video game and is worth special note. I also found no offensive sounds while playing Little Einsteins.
The mini games follow a theme through all of the levels with some of them being very similar. With that said there is so much wonderful learning to do that few players will even notice. This is the kind of a video game that is worth your hard earned dollars in my humble opinion. It can be found pretty cheap since it is not a recent release.
Little Einsteins controls well in every single mini game, and is very forgiving on lower settings. I wish there was a little more variety to the mini games, but there is more than enough for the target audience.
I wish there were more
games like Little Einsteins on the market. Sequels are needed, and on
the current home consoles. There are so many wonderful lessons in this
Gameboy Advance video game. They range from helping others to learning
about the creativity God has given to so many wonderful people
throughout time. An improvement would be to mention God gave these
people those talents.
