Beastly Frantic Foto
SCORE: 74
Have you heard of Beastly yet? Well it is
a movie that is a modern day take on Beauty and the Beast. Beastly
Frantic Foto on the Nintendo DS from Storm City Games is based on the
movie. Before you freak out, this is a Frantic Foto video game. Know
what that is right? Spot the differences on the screen. Well technically
the top and bottom screens have differences and we touch the places on
the bottom screen to denote them. Be careful though because tapping
everywhere will drain your time, and well you will lose.
Since the pictures in Beastly Frantic Foto are directly from the movie
we can expect the Mild Suggestive Themes the ESRB references. There are
a few pictures with characters not completely clothed. Their occurrence
is low, which is why Beastly Frantic Foto earned the 'E' for Everyone
rating. Some of the screens looked great, and others had blurry areas. I
am guessing the limitations of the Nintendo DS.
The sound on this Nintendo DS cartridge fit Beastly Frantic Foto
perfectly. I enjoyed the music in different parts of the game, and loved
finding a difference. That sound brought me some relief. Finding the
final difference on a screen brought me even more relief. That was until
I had to find more items on the next screen. Family Friendly Gaming was
given a reviewable copy of Beastly Frantic Foto. I checked around and
found this game is very reasonably priced.
There are over eighty photos in Beastly Frantic Foto. The game puts
differences in different places which assists in the replay value. In
fact there are fifteen possible differences per picture. Only five are
used per pic though. There is also a multiplayer mode, and various
difficulty settings. I feel that Beastly Frantic Foto is worth the
price.
Storm City Games is certainly listening to Family Friendly Gaming
because they have raised the bar in terms of game play with Beastly
Frantic Foto. There are four different items players can use to help
find all the differences. Letters appear at random intervals on the
screen as well. Tap all of them for a reward. I had fun playing Beastly
Frantic Foto, even though some differences are very difficult to spot.
Has anyone ever told you to pay more attention to detail? Beastly
Frantic Foto is one of those games that can help with that. That is the
main lesson I learned from this Nintendo DS video game. The storyline
reflects how we look on the inside versus outside, not crossing a witch,
and more. I like how Storm City Games is improving their franchise. I
hope they continue that in the upcoming months and years.
