Hoodwinked Too Hood vs Evil
SCORE: 83
Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil is my first
exposure to the Hoodwinked franchise. We have covered thousands of
products here at Family Friendly Gaming. There is not much time to look
into movies or games that we are not reviewing. What I found is a
pleasant franchise that teaches some amazing lessons. Plus there is a
plethora of humor for all ages of the family.
Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil is action packed. There are explosions,
fighting, characters in peril, and more. Some of the humor derives from
various fairyland characters put into modern day situations. Other humor
is crude, and I feel bad for that poor goat. He got hurt no matter where
he went. Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil shows that eating too many sweets
leads to a rotund figure.
The best way I can describe Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil is Little Red
Riding Hood meets The Matrix. Her martial arts skills are insane. Of
course her granny is not that bad either. Their secret agent spy thing
thanks to the H.E.A. (Happily Ever After Agency) fits the theme of the
movie. The wolf and hyperactive squirrel are mainly there for comic
relief.
The animation in Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil looks nice. I was
impressed with various character models, backgrounds, and scenes.
Various characters have some unique looks to them. The voice acting in
Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil is top notch. Patrick Warburton does an
awesome job as the less than aware wolf, and runs away with the show.
The other voice actors do a stellar job and exhibit some nice talent.
The package Family Friendly Gaming received to review contains the
Blu-ray + DVD. This is great for families that are transitioning between
the two platforms. Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil includes three catchy
music videos, the voices of Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil, storyboard
sequences, and production artwork. Children will enjoy watching
Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil over and over again. Trust me on that one.
When it comes to music videos, ya'll know me. I am watchful for various
issues. To my surprise (and a happy one) the music videos in Hoodwinked
Too! Hood vs Evil are very safe. I enjoyed the music. I do not agree
with the "I Can Do it Alone" song. It is something that families can use
to discuss the issue of getting help when it is needed.
Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil has a fantastic story. Various characters
try to do things on their own and fail. They learn that team work is
what is important. They also learn to not judge a book by its cover.
Hansel and Gretel are kidnapped by the evil witch, but not all is as it
seems. Good triumphs over evil thanks to outsmarting it. I enjoyed
watching Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil, and so did our entire family.
I am going to have to look into purchasing the first movie in this
franchise now that I see what it is about. There are various references
in Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil that adults will get. The whole bunny
silence of the lambs thing is one of them. The mafia styled giant mixes
things up as well. Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil is a lot deeper than I
was expecting. We even had a conversation about God is my co-pilot
bumper stickers thanks a backwards reference in this movie.
