Memorex had a very surprising showing at E3 2010. First off I was not expecting to run into them, and then I was not expected to be blown away by their products. The Racing Wheel for Wii is a fantastic product. Many here at Family Friendly Gaming like this racing wheel better than the one that comes with Mario Kart Wii. That is saying quite a bit, since some are very dedicated to Nintendo. One of the fascinating features of the Racing Wheel for Wii is the right hand side pops out. The Wii Remote is put inside, and then it snaps into place. There is actually a connector inside the wheel that pops into the bottom of the Wii Remote.

The Racing Wheel for Wii looks really good. The little logo for Memorex is stylish, and well places. The various colors of the Racing Wheel for Wii add a real nice visual to offset the majority white. I like how this is a complete wheel. Some racing wheels out there chop off the top or bottom. Neither of which is ascetically pleasing.

The grips on the Racing Wheel for Wii make the feel absolutely awesome. This is one of the reasons many of us at Family Friendly Gaming like this wheel the best. Normally there can be a spirited discussion on who gets the Mario Kart wheel. Now everyone wants the Racing Wheel for Wii. The plastic on the rest of the wheel has a slick feel to it.

I like pieces of equipment that are durable. Nintendo sets the bar really high with their hardware, so we have high expectations for peripherals on their machines. Racing Wheel for Wii is sturdy and ran into no problems with the various endurance tests we put it through. Make sure you get the Wii Remote in there really good or the connector will not snap in properly. I learned that lesson pretty early one.

How useful is the Racing Wheel for Wii? If you are into racing games on the Wii, then it is highly useful. If you do not play racing games, then I have to admit you will have no need for the Racing Wheel for Wii. Since racing games are a fun way for families to play together we find a lot of reasons to purchase one of these units.

Families will find the Racing Wheel for Wii is a well put together piece of hardware. There is also a nice little spot on the back of the Racing Wheel for Wii for the Nunchuk. Racing Wheel for Wii contains no cords, batteries or anything else that could cause problems.
