 3D Solitaire

When I first purchased an iPad I shared it with my hubby so games could be reviewed on it. He has now been returning the favor on the Nintendo 3DS. 3D Solitaire is the most recent game on this three dimensional hand held that I am interested in reviewing. I even tried the 3D. Long time readers know this could have been a migraine trigger for me. I took it slow and was very careful.

3D Solitaire is selling for $2.99. I could find one cheap deck of cards for a little beneath that price. Plus we get neat images and a few other options in this Zen Studios published video game. 3D Solitaire allows us to play Klondike 1 or Klondike 3. That means we turn over one card at a time or three cards at a time. A little hint - one card at a time is much easier to win.

3D Solitaire looks wonderful. I love the background images that were put with this 3DS game. The coolest part about 3D Solitaire is we can put in our own pictures and have them as the background. 3D Solitaire lets us play on the top or the bottom screen. Play on the top to see all the fantastic 3D effects with the deck of cards, or play the bottom screen where the stylus makes game play much faster.

The music in 3D Solitaire is soothing and relaxing. Like a nice hot bubble bath. But with 3D Solitaire we do not get the raisin fingers and soapy bubble film. Different awards will pop up when we hit certain achievements. This freaked me out at first, but later I learned how important it was, and it gave me even more points. Points unlock additional content, in case you were not educated to that fact.

The first time I played 3D Solitaire it was set to play on the top screen. I hated how it played. It was slow and cumbersome to move my little finger around to pick up cards and place them in the right spot. After that I played on the bottom screen. This is how I believe 3D Solitaire was meant to be played. It's fast, fun, and mentally engaging.

There is no gambling in 3D Solitaire whatsoever. That is an important fact to learn about 3D Solitaire. Players can learn to match, pay attention to the play field at all times, and complete a deck as a true 3D Solitaire champion. Families receive high doses of content in 3D Solitaire for the low price. Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for this review.
