Big Bad Beetleborgs Season One Volume One
SCORE: 70
The Big Bad Beetleborgs is a mix between
Goosebumps and The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. There is a horror and
scale element linked into this show, and there is also the robot
battling. Big Bad Beetleborgs Season One Volume One starts off with
three kids exploring a haunted house. They release a ghost who grants
them a wish.
What would three kids into comic books wish for? To become the heroes
they read about. So Flabber grants their wish. He accidentally leaves
the door open, and bad guys can come out of the comic books as well.
Which is where we get all of the different bad guys they have to fight.
I have the admit the idea of wanting to be the hero you read about is a
really good one. I remember being a kid and wanting a healing factor
like Wolverine. Or to be fast like the Flash, or to fly like Superman.
So I can relate to that concept. As can my own children.
Big Bad Beetleborgs Season One Volume One has humor in it that kids will
like. A variety of wild and wacky things happen in Big Bad Beetleborgs
Season One Volume One. Flabber is called a ghost and phasm. To me he
acts more like a Genie. Mixed with an Elvis impersonator.
The monsters in Big Bad Beetleborgs Season One Volume One made little
sense to me. We have a mummy, vampire, werewolf, and Frankenstein kind
of character. They generally harassed the kids when they entered the
haunted house because they wanted to eat them. At times they were
helpful, but generally they were just in the way of the plot.
Being a horror show for kids, Big Bad Beetleborgs Season One Volume One
has one major holiday in it - Halloween. This does not really surprise
me since it goes along with the subject matter. There are a lot of
things in Big Bad Beetleborgs Season One Volume One that can scare kids.
My youngest does not like this show.
The spiritual aspects are rarely touched upon in Big Bad Beetleborgs
Season One Volume One. Big Bad Beetleborgs Season One Volume One hops
around from horror, to monsters are okay, to robot battles, and then
getting the bad guy back into the comic book. Parts of this show looks
spliced together.
It will take around nine hours to get completely through Big Bad
Beetleborgs Season One Volume One. There are twenty-seven episodes on
the three DVDs. The comic book effects stand out, as does the kids
keeping some powers outside of being Beetleborgs. Parents are shown as
clueless, especially the karate grandmother. Magic is a large part of
Big Bad Beetleborgs Season One Volume One.
