Bubble Guppies

We love learning games for kids here at Family Friendly Gaming. 2K Play continues to publish video games specifically designed for the younger members of the family. Bubble Guppies is an 'EC' rated video game. Which means it is for Early Childhood. That is children six years and younger.

There is a Nickelodeon franchise that this Nintendo DS video game is based off of. Research we have performed here at Family Friendly Gaming has shown that Bubble Guppies is very popular in the target age set. So it is possible that Bubble Guppies on the DS will be a difficult game to find this Christmas. If you see it, you should pick it up - if you want it.

The entire atmosphere in Bubble Guppies is aquatic. I enjoyed the little visual effects, and kids are all into the different characters from the series. Kids can learn colors, matching, numbers, shapes, and more in Bubble Guppies. All of these are things that will help them in kindergarten.

The voices in Bubble Guppies are fin-tastic. Sorry I had to use a pun from the Bubble Guppies. It fit so well, and it brings a smile to my face whenever I hear it. Kids can also learn the differences between city life, and country life. Farms and cities are two prominent parts of Bubble Guppies.

The premise behind Bubble Guppies is there is this big race going on. We have to perform tasks to get cones. The cones will be put down around the track so the racers will know where to go. At the end of Bubble Guppies we get to build our own race car, and race on the track we helped set up.

Bubble Guppies is a cute little game with a lot of great things for kids. My one quibble with Bubble Guppies is the controls in the racing portions. They are a little too tight, and that makes kids bounce into and around the obstacles. In fact I am not sure it is possible to avoid all of them. They cause no harm or damage so its not a big thing. It might lead to frustration. Bubble Guppies can also teach patience since it repeats the same instructions over and over again in each level. Bubble Guppies makes the player wait for them to finish speaking before being able to enact the controls.
