Build-a-lot 4 Power Source

I found out about the Build-a-lot franchise with Build-a-lot 3. Loved that little app. G5 Entertainment knows when they have a good thing. So we now are able to experience Build-a-lot 4 Power Source on the iPad. There is a diminished version on the iPhone/iPod Touch but I am focusing on the iPad.

Build-a-lot 4 Power Source is a time management game. We have resources to deal with. Things like money, materials, and happiness. There is a Deadline bar that gives us only so much time for every level. We now have to deal with a Power bar. If too much is pulling on the power in a neighborhood then it is an immediate black out.

Build-a-lot 4 Power Source gives us ways to produce power too. Things like Wind Farms. Those things are so ugly that they diminish the happiness in a neighborhood. I can completely understand because I have seen wind farms in person and they are hideous. I have always been a fan of solar power. But its hard to get anyone to take me seriously on solar power after Solyndra.

The whole power aspect of Build-a-lot 4 Power Source throws a new wrinkle into the mix. Especially if our goal is to have so much happiness in a neighborhood. There are also recreational buildings like tennis courts that can be built as well. This help the happiness skyrocket in a neighborhood.

Build-a-lot 4 Power Source includes a couple of different modes that will interest families. Personally I love to go through all the levels and meet all the goals. Others enjoy the casual mode. There are many hours of fun in Build-a-lot 4 Power Source. I had a blast playing this app.

I really enjoy Build-a-lot 4 Power Source and the levels it contains. I would love to see this franchise include an entire city builder. Maybe let us work on a neighborhood at a time until we wind up making an entire city. I am very surprised that a sequel came so quickly. It is a neat and pleasant surprise.
