Crazy Chicken Pirates 3D

Crazy chicken pirates is a downloadable game you can play on your 3DS or PC. The objective of the game is simple, try to get the highest score possible by shooting down crazy chicken pirates, collecting coins and/or diamonds and hitting pirate symbols. There are a pretty big variety of chickens to shoot down; flying chickens, chickens with swords, chickens with swords, you name it.

Every chicken, treasure and pirate symbol has a point value that will make your high score increase. The gameplay is simple and you have 90 seconds to collect as many points as possible. To aim you can either use the analog stick or you can use the stylus. The controls are really sensitive so it can be a little bit awkward to aim at times. Something that really bothers me is the fact that you can’t move freely with the analog stick but in a limited zone, that means that sometimes you can’t shot down chickens that are too high or way down. In order to reach those chickens you must use your stylus on the touch screen and move it to the objective. This takes time and it makes no sense for me personally. At the beginning I thought it was an option but the game has no options so it’s unchangeable.

The graphics are bright and colorful but nothing special. The 3D effect is pretty poor so it’s better to play the game without it. The game gets pretty boring quickly but for $1.99 you get what you paid for (Family Friendly Gaming was provided a free copy for this review). There is no blood nor any violent language but you do kill animals, of course, fantasy animals.

I would not recommend this game for little kids but for kids above 10+. Crazy Pirate Chicken does not offer anything special or revolutionary; it’s just another arcade-action game, but for $1.99, it’s a game that can be played while waiting at the bus stop or a doctor appointment.
