DreamWorks Dash n Drop
SCORE: 71
Movie based video games are generally
looked down upon in the industry. Apps are also generally looked down
upon. Put those two together and it is something hardcore gamers are
going to generally attack. Families can be more receptive to apps like
DreamWorks Dash n Drop.
DreamWorks Dash n Drop is based off of the Rise of the Guardians movie.
This iOS handheld app lets players pick up presents and deliver them to
chimneys. The whole Santa Claus delivering presents is the main theme
behind DreamWorks Dash n Drop. There are obstacles to avoid of course.
DreamWorks Dash n Drop has one control. We tap on the screen to descend.
Otherwise we are climbing. This can be a tricky control to master as the
player needs to move up and down between the various obstacles. Players
can take a couple of hits before it is game over.
DreamWorks Dash n Drop feels like it was thrown together with little
thought to entertainment. The little graphics, and okay music propel it
to its point in history. There are a variety of power ups that can be
purchased thanks to in app purchases or if the player builds up enough
coins.
There is nothing related to the true meaning of Christmas in DreamWorks
Dash n Drop. It is like having a Labor Day based game and have nothing
related to labor in it at all.
