Electric Tentacle

When I wonder who will come up with a new
idea on the iPhone/iPod Touch I look to Chillingo. Other companies come
along with interesting ideas, but Chillingo has a long history of doing
it. Or they take an existing methodology and they tweak it in a
meaningful way.
Electric Tentacle fits this model perfectly. It is a running game, err
floating game. Our character floats to the right. Players must avoid
obstacles and collect items. We do this by tapping the screen. Holding
to the right of the character will link that spot to the character with
lightning. It will attract he character towards that spot.
The key to understanding Electric Tentacle is holding too long on one
side will launch that character way off the screen. Which will make it
level over. So we have to tap on the right side, and the left side to
maintain our speed, and direction. Don't forget about top and bottom of
the screen to guide which direction. Players can tap anywhere on
the screen.
The goal of Electric Tentacle is to get as far as you possible can. This
puts it in the runner genre for me. But it has been tweaked enough to be
something new, interesting, and fun. I am very impressed with Electric
Tentacle. I hope to see sequels in the near future.
Electric Tentacle is an easy game to play, and a difficult game to
master. The more time a family member puts into this app the better they
will be. Player purchase improvements after completing levels. There is
also the challenge of getting farther each time, and sharing your scores
with your friends.
Electric Tentacle has a neat look to it, especially the electricity. We
can destroy the things that come after us. The music is classic for this
kind of game. I enjoy listening to Electric Tentacle, and love the
special effect sounds. Electric Tentacle can be played for a few minutes
or hours. I had no issues with the controls.
