Finding Nemo Escape to the Big Blue Special Edition
SCORE: 85
It has been some time
since anyone here at Family Friendly Gaming has played a Finding Nemo
video game. Finding Nemo Escape to the Big Blue Special Edition has been
released for the Nintendo 3DS. We are very thankful that we were
provided a reviewable copy of this movie based video game just before it
officially launched.
The 3D effects in the movie scenes in Finding Nemo Escape to the Big
Blue Special Edition are amazing. I can not believe how good they look
on the Nintendo 3DS. I am less impressed with the levels. Some of the
thirty mini game levels look decent in 3D, and others look ported over
the Nintendo DS. Plus the motion of the ocean can misalign our eyes from
the screen. Which leads to sea sickness.
The music is fantastic in Finding Nemo Escape to the Big Blue Special
Edition. We have the voices from the movies, and the wonderful music
that takes us away under the sea. The Interactive Reef is one aspect of
Finding Nemo Escape to the Big Blue Special Edition that encourages
family members to replay. Nothing like having our own aquarium or small
spot in the sea.
I feel Finding Nemo Escape to the Big Blue Special Edition is worth the
price of admission. The mini games are interesting, even if certain ones
are repeated. The variety of characters is nice, and the Interactive
Reef is neat. The coolest thing about this hand held game in my personal
opinion is the tutorial that each level starts with.
Finding Nemo Escape to the Big Blue Special Edition explains how to play
each level. If you want to skip it, then just press the 'A' button. I
found the tutorial was extremely helpful in Finding Nemo Escape to the
Big Blue Special Edition. I learned aspects of the game play the helped
me succeed in almost every level the first time. I made a few mistakes
along the way.
A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since I last had interaction
with the Finding Nemo franchise. I am very pleased to see Disney
Interactive Studios releasing Finding Nemo Escape to the Big Blue
Special Edition on the Nintendo 3DS. It is an improvement over the
original game - which was published by THQ for those interested in
history.
