 Flight

I will admit it - I am not impressed by Flash games. You know those little Internet games on sites that are usually clones of an actual franchise. So I came into Flight highly skeptical. It came from that environment. But there have been some surprises from that environment a little voice told me. So I opened my mind and started to play Flight on the iPhone/iPod Touch platform.

Wow! Flight is one solid little app. We fly a paper airplane across a city as far as we can. The money we collect (in the form of stars) can be used to upgrade the planes, the special items, and a variety of aspects of the planes. What makes Flight so interesting is the stories of the people who throw the paper airplanes. I will not spoil that for any of ya'll.

Flight looks nice, and the animations of the airplanes are neat. The animation of the people with the paper could have used some work. The various upgrades and special effects fill the eyes of the gamer playing Flight. I ran into one odd bug while playing Flight. I went high and the screen went black except for my plane, the fuel, and the menu button. My plane kept amassing meters so I let it go, and wound up easily completing Paris. After going back to the main menu it returned to normal.

I like the music in Flight. I find it exciting, thrilling, and engaging. Flight has a very addictive nature to it. Earn enough money for the next upgrade. Get enough meters to complete that area. There are carrots constantly being dangled in front of our faces. If you have a gaming addiction problem then you want to steer clear of Flight.

I love the concept of Flight. We are flying paper airplanes all around the world. The first person to throw the paper airplane wants Santa to bring her mommy. I wanted to disclose that in case that content causes turmoil in your house hold. I hope to see sequels, improvements, and upgrades to Flight in the future. This game could easily work on the Nintendo 3DS and/or the Playstation Vita.
