 Fluidity

Fluidity reminds me of Puddle in so many ways. With a few exceptions. Fluidity is definitely way more family friendly, and Fluidity is more difficult. Players can breeze through levels in Puddle. Fluidity is more about exploring the level and finding the items in the nooks and crannies. A gate may bar our way in Fluidity. We need so many rainbow drops to open it.

The best animation in Fluidity is the water. It is amazing how well it flows in this WiiWare home console downloadable game. With that said moving around in Fluidity can be like herding cats. Water does not move in a manner any other video game character does. We need to be patient and wait for straggler drops to join us. Go back and forth too much and we risk leaving some behind. It will eventually evaporate if it does not join the rest.

The music in Fluidity is soothing and relaxing. I felt like I was laying in some water and had gotten a bit of water in my ear. That kind of audio effect is how Fluidity feels. I love how we get to help so many different characters in Fluidity. Over and over again Fluidity explains ways we can help others. Like get a fish back in its bowl. Put missing gears back so machines will function.

The levels in Fluidity are large. Expect to spend time working your water into the right places. Fluidity provides hints and clues how to solve the various puzzles. It can be easy to get stuck in this game, especially if you forgot about a gate or the path not taken. This is where the exploration comes into play.

Families will get their 1200 Wii Points out of Fluidity. Hours of fun are found within this aquatic puzzle game that focuses on exploration. I am very thankful that Nintendo provided us the means to play and review Fluidity. It is the best water based video game I have personally played. I hope to see sequels in the near future. Maybe on the Wii U.
