Ya'll know how I feel about full seasons
of television shows. I like them a whole lot more than just half of a
season being released. When I purchase television shows myself I only go
for full seasons. So imagine my excitement when Shout Factory announced
GI Joe Renegades The Complete First Season. This is on Blu-ray, and
better than the DVD volume in so many ways.
Shall we count some of those ways together? First and foremost GI Joe
Renegades The Complete First Season is the entire first season. We are
not sitting there wanting to see how things wind up. We learn how
everything winds up in the Blu-ray version. There are more and better
special features in GI Joe Renegades The Complete First Season.
It can take around 9.5 hours to watch all of GI Joe Renegades The
Complete First Season. That is all twenty-six episodes of the first
season. There is certain animated violence as they will shoot their
pulse weapons at one another. Characters do take hits, and can get hurt
in a variety of situations. GI Joe Renegades The Complete First Season
does a good job of avoiding death whenever possible. The Joes will knock
out their enemies whenever possible.
GI Joe Renegades The Complete First Season is the most intelligently
written animated show since Justice League Unlimited. In fact there has
been a void in that department. Or I should say there was a void in that
department. GI Joe Renegades The Complete First Season fills it
perfectly. This show is a complete re-imagining of the GI Joe franchise.
GI Joe Renegades The Complete First Season is so much more realistic
than previous animated versions of GI Joe. Characters have their own
motives. There are characters that will back stab one another, listen to
reason, react to threats, etc. All of the characters in GI Joe Renegades
The Complete First Season have some real meat to them.
Ninja fans will love the episodes that revolve around those characters.
We learn a variety of things about their past, present and future. Each
of them have their own personalities that shines through. Cobra is
interesting on a variety of levels. I appreciate how they are this major
company like Google that is actually evil. We keep wanting them to
expose this evil to the public.
GI Joe Renegades The Complete First Season is the best animated
television show I have seen all year long. The voice acting is top
notch. The animations are good, and do some interesting things. The
storyline is fantastic, and the shocking plot surprises kept me on the
edge of my seat. I am curious to see how things change in season two.
