Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters

If you are anything like me you are sick
of Pokemon. Sick of all these monsters that somehow seem to get along,
except when a human has them fight. Sick of the world filled with
Pokemon. I am also sick of Digimon. Lets have a digital version of
Pokemon where the monsters are in the digital world.
Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters has more of an intelligent design than
Pokemon, and better writing than Digimon. Kaijudo Rise of the Duel
Masters Creatures Unleashed contains the first five episodes of the
show. We meet three kids who become exposed to a completely different
world.
As the DVD explains it, there were once these mystical creatures in our
world. They were divided into different tribes: fire, water, dark,
light, and earth. When they tried to decimate humans, these shaman
conjured a different world and put them in it. The veil gets broken and
they sometimes enter our world.
Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters Creatures Unleashed is all about
keeping this a secret from the general population. The Duel Masters
fight to return the creatures, and to seal the breaches. There is an
evil character who exploits them for his own greedy purposes.
Ray is the fourteen year old main character in Kaijudo Rise of the Duel
Masters Creatures Unleashed. He breaks the rules by touching the
monsters. He winds up befriending his creature, and shows the masters a
different way. This does lead to turmoil since Ray is breaking ancient
traditions.
Monsters will fight one another in Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters
Creatures Unleashed. The human characters wear gloves that call, and
control the creatures. It can also be used as a shield if a monster
directly attacks them. Mana from the human is what powers the gloves.
I am not really fond of the dark creatures in Kaijudo Rise of the Duel
Masters Creatures Unleashed. Some of them look demonic. I enjoyed the
lesson about how dangerous wild creatures can be. There is a mild
martial arts component to Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters Creatures
Unleashed. They do these odd dances to call creatures, and close
breaches.
The animation in Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters Creatures Unleashed is
excellent. The voice acting is top notch, and the story writing is
fantastic. Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters Creatures Unleashed feels
like a comic book, or Justice League Unlimited. Kids like to see the
different creatures.
