Madden NFL 13

I have been highly skeptical of the Wii U for some time now. I do not see it as being as successful as the Wii. I do not see it as an improvement over the Kinect either. It is an improvement over the Wii. Madden NFL 13 on the Wii U is the best version of Madden NFL 13 in my opinion. And that has everything to do with the Wii U.

First and foremost I found that I can play Madden NFL 13 with the television off. I am not talking about letting someone watch television. I am talking about how everything I need to play Madden NFL 13 is on the Wii U Gamepad. In fact I barely even paid attention to the television set.

We tried Madden NFL 13 on the Wii U in a variety of ways. We put multiple people on one game. I played it by myself, and I watched others play. The versatility of Madden NFL 13 is what sticks out. Getting a family together and working together in Madden NFL 13 is one of the key features. Or families can compete against one another.

All of the mainline features from the other home console versions are available in Madden NFL 13 on the Wii U. I personally appreciate the Nintendo Network on Madden NFL 13. Plus EA added some neat little improvements. The presentation is better in the Wii U version for example.

I am still digging the new receiver awareness in Madden NFL 13. The defense and the offense have to be looking towards the ball or they will not react. This is very realistic and saved me from interceptions on more than one occasion. It also helped with things like fumbles. I like how the defense will read and react, trying to get the best match ups possible.

The commentary in Madden NFL 13 brings a smile to my face. I love hearing the announcers on the Wii U Gamepad. The stereo effect with the television and the Wii U Gamepad is pretty neat. The intro Ray Lewis video got all of us here at Family Friendly Gaming pumped up to play some virtual football.

Want to know something really cool about Madden NFL 13? You can pull a Brett Favre. By that I mean you can retire and come back from retirement. And you can also create a player and build them up to the Hall of Fame. The League News and Virtual Twitter are neat aspects in Madden NFL 13 too.

Families may take an interest in Madden NFL Gridiron Club. It is a free loyalty program from EA Sport. One of the many online aspects to Madden NFL 13. An adult in the family will need to create an account with EA. Once that is done the rewards can come rolling in.

Madden NFL 13 on the Wii U earns the rarely given Family Friendly Gaming seal of approval. We found this version of the game encourages families to play together like none of the others. Having the Wii U Gamepad adds neat new aspects that we have found to be very beneficial.
