It was very exciting at E3 2012 to see Nickelodeon Dance 2. This Xbox 360 Kinect and Wii title gets kids up and dancing around with their favorite Nickelodeon friends. There are twenty Nickelodeon friends in total that families can dance around with. Nickelodeon Dance 2 is for kids, but adults can join in.

Nickelodeon Dance 2 allows for two family members to enjoy the all new dance songs, and routines. I counted twenty-nine songs in Nickelodeon Dance 2. Some of them are unlockable after the player earns enough stars in that section. Nickelodeon Dance 2 can provide countless hours of entertainment.

I noticed two interesting songs in Nickelodeon Dance 2. They are "Tonight is a Holiday," and "Here Comes Santa Claus." I found it strange that there are two songs in here devoted to Christmas, but the game goes out of its way to avoid actually saying Christmas. We know this technique can be one of the highest forms of insult in certain segments of the population. Because of this we felt it was important to denote in our review.

Kids love to get up and move around. I found a few of the songs to be enjoyable. "La Bamba," "Mary Had a Little Lamb", and "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" stuck out for me personally. There are a few songs that encourage rock and roll, or glorify it in some manner, shape or form.

Family Friendly Gaming was provided the Wii version of Nickelodeon Dance 2. We found it is rather easy to trick the game. I sat on the couch for one song moving the Wii remote up and down. I wound up scoring three stars - which is the highest you can score. This technique did not always work though. I believe the Kinect version would stop anyone from cheating. Now I must say that anyone who cheats outside of a game review is only cheating themselves. I did it to test the game, and for that purpose only.

It is neat to see this franchise continue. I also appreciate that 2K Play did not forget the Wii this Christmas season like so many other companies. Nickelodeon Dance 2 can help kids get off the couch and get some exercise. And who knows, maybe some mothers and fathers too.
