There are times my hubby asks things of me
that confuse me. Take for example the PS3 Blu-mote. He asked me if I
would like to review a remote. I almost choked on my gum when he asked
me. I thought who reviews remotes? How do you review a remote? I mean
its a remote. We use it to control something. Then it dawned on me, its
a controller.
Once I got over my initial shock, I happily accepted the challenge of
reviewing the PS3 Blu-mote from Snakebyte USA. If you purchase this
product I guarantee you will not forget their name. It is on the front
bottom of the device in a nice gray. PS3 Blu-mote is one of the most
colorful remotes I have ever seen. It has all of the PS3 controller
buttons, and then a whole bunch more.
PS3 Blu-mote can be used in a variety of ways. Some games could probably
be played with it. But the core design behind the PS3 Blu-mote is for
watching movies. The PS3 Blu-mote works great for that. The remote feels
like any other remote, but it connects thanks to Bluetooth. That means a
USB port is not taken up by the PS3 Blu-mote. This is an important
feature.
Speaking of the Bluetooth, I initially thought the PS3 Blu-mote was
broken. It would not interact with the Playstation 3 at all. I had to go
to the instructions to try and figure out what needed to be done to set
it up. The manual for the PS3 Blu-mote gave me clear, clean, and concise
instructions on how to set it up. Once I had followed the instructions
the PS3 Blu-mote worked like a champ.
Do you use the PS3 to watch Blu-ray movies? If you do then you probably
do what I used to do - use a PS3 controller. Sure it works that way, but
it is not always comfortable. PS3 Blu-mote brings comfort into our PS3
Blu-ray movie nights. I can see a definite use for this product. I know
it won't be for everybody, but it certainly impressed me.
