PS3 Power Station
SCORE: 83
Anyone else out there having issues with
charging their Move and Navigation controllers? Having to plug
everything into the PS3 and keeping the unit on so they will fully
charge? Snakebyte has a solution in the form of the PS3 Power Station.
This will charge one Move controller, one Navigation controller, and one
regular controller all at the same time.
The first thing I noticed about the PS3 Power Station is it's layout.
This charger looks sort of like like a 'T'. Once the controllers are on
it, I felt like I should grab ahold and use them like joysticks. But
doing so would disconnect them from their charging ports. Which would
not be a good thing when we are trying to charge it.
There are clear casings around where the Navigation and Move controllers
plug into. These turn blue when we have the PS3 Power Station turned on.
The controllers will blink on and off with their little red lights. The
regular controllers will have all four red lights blink on and off. Once
the controllers are charged their red lights stop blinking.
Thankfully the PS3 Power Station sits there and does not move much. The
reason I bring this up is it does not feel very sturdy to me. In fact I
could press on the bottom of the PS3 Power Station and feel the plastic
bend. This is not something you will want to handle roughly. I see few
problems as long as the PS3 Power Station is used as designed.
Having to charge the same three controllers on the PS3 would require
three cords and eat up three USB ports on the machine. I see a definite
use for PS3 Power Station, and like how easy it makes charging all three
of these controllers at the same time. If you are looking for a charging
unit for your PS3 controllers then I recommend the PS3 Power Station
from Snakebyte USA.
