Parental Control for PS3
SCORE: 84
Big Ben Interactive have heard parents
when it comes to time limits on video games. Parental Control for PS3
allows parents to put limits on how long their children play games on
the Playstation 3. There are other uses for the Parental Control for PS3
too. People who are addicted to video games can use Parental Control for
PS3 to help them recover.
The Parental Control for PS3 controller look fantastic. The buttons have
dual purposes. There are numbers and the normal Playstation shapes of
'X', circle, triangle, and square. The black controller is a little bit
larger than the normal PS3 controllers. Big Ben Interactive is on the
front, so it is easy to differentiate. The LED screen looks good, and is
very informative.
The instructions of the Parental Control for PS3 are very clear. There
is a code that parents must enter before the Parental Control for PS3
can be used. My biggest concern about this is parents have to use only
this controller. What about PS3 games that require the PS Move and Eye?
What about two player games?
Parental Control for PS3 starts out in fifteen minute intervals, which
is not much time. This can be increased with the six digit code. At the
five minute point, and the one minute point the Parental Control for PS3
sounds an alarm. This alarm is loud and annoying. When the time limit
has been reached the Parental Control for PS3 shuts down.
I can see a definite purpose for the Parental Control for PS3. As long
as the code is kept safe children will not be able to play more than
parents assign. And all other controllers have to be hidden or gotten
rid of. And only one family member can play with the Parental Control
for PS3 at the same time. Still Parental Control for PS3 is a good tool
for families.
