Treasure Buddies

There was not much excitement here at Family Friendly Gaming concerning the release of Treasure Buddies. I think many here had been Buddied all out. I know a few commented that maybe this franchise had done all it could do. Well Disney knew there was at least one more good movie to be made in this franchise. That movie is Treasure Buddies.

I have a brand new favorite Buddies movie, and it is Treasure Buddies. The reason for this is Treasure Buddies is not corny. Part of the movie is spent on the humans, part of it on the monkeys, and part on the Buddies. This means that the whole focus of Treasure Buddies is not on the Buddies. I did not get tired of any of the characters because it kept revolving to another part.

The other aspect of Treasure Buddies is the tight writing. Humor is strategically placed in Treasure Buddies that reaches all ages of the family. The story in Treasure Buddies revolves around finding the tomb of Cleocatra. Who is Cleocatra? She is the cat of Cleopatra. There is a magical necklace that was used to make dogs mans best friend. The legends tell of a time when cats were mans best friend.

Treasure Buddies includes a very Egyptian sound to it. Which makes sense since that is where the majority of the movie occurs. The voices used for the animals do a wonderful job. There are so many different animals in Treasure Buddies that is can be hard to keep track. We have cats, dogs, monkeys, camels, and snakes. Kids will love the zoo that runs through Treasure Buddies.

Family Friendly Gaming was provided the Blu-ray plus DVD version of Treasure Buddies. The two main extras in Treasure Buddies are DIGS: B-Dawg Edition, and an all new music video. That music video is fantastic. I loved it. Hanging with B-Dawg on an exciting tour of his Blinged-Out Crib is the only corny thing about these discs.

Treasure Buddies teaches us that grave robbing is wrong. It also shows us how to use our brains to solve puzzles (and traps). Education is an important thing as well as museums. Treasure Buddies is the absolute best Buddies movie I have ever seen. I am so thankful that I was able to watch and review this Blu-ray plus DVD package. If Disney keeps this formula going, I would love to see even more Buddies movies.
