Zumas Revenge

Various companies take different paths to
the same platforms. PopCap Games is well known for their titles on the
Personal Computer (PC). They have expanded their well known franchises
to other platforms. I knew that Zuma's Revenge would make a good
addition to the Nintendo DS library. This game has an intelligent design
that works marvelously on this hand held platform.
Zuma's Revenge looks okay on the Nintendo DS. I can see where PopCap
Games is pushing the Nintendo DS to its graphical limits. There are
numerous bright and colorful graphics that contrast the backgrounds.
Expect some strange characters in Zuma's Revenge, and a very tribal
theme. The boss battles can get intense with a flurry of activity on the
screen.
I found the music in Zuma's Revenge to be relaxing. At the same time it
was keeping my mind awake and aware of what was happening on the screen.
Most of the characters in Zuma's Revenge do not appreciate your frog.
That encouraged me to do a good job and defeat the levels. Strategy was
needed in some levels because of how the line twisted and turned.
I am so sorry, I did not explain how Zuma's Revenge plays. Okay here is
the deal. Orbs come out on one side, and they roll to the other side.
They can take all kinds of twists and turns to get there. The player has
a frog that spits out orbs of different colors. Get three or more
matching of the same color and they vanish. This slows down the march of
the orbs. If the orbs make it from start to finish, then you lose. If
you get rid of all the orbs then you win.
A few of the cool things about Zuma's Revenge are the fifteen
achievements, seventy challenges, and sixty adventure levels. I checked
on Amazon and found the price of Zuma's Revenge is very reasonable.
Especially when we consider how much content there is. If you and a
friend both have Zuma's Revenge then there is a wireless multi-card play
mode for ya'll.
Matching colors is one of the main lessons in Zuma's Revenge. There is
also the concept of understanding where to match colors. I may have five
red, two green, and then four red. If I match the green, then they go
away, and the nine red match and go away next. This kind of game play is
still fun to this day. I know Zuma's Revenge does not bring a new game
play concept. I appreciate what it does bring to the table, and the
platform it has been put on.
