How many members of Family Friendly Gaming Nation remember a review for 101 DinoPets 3D on the Nintendo 3DS? 101 Penguin Pets 3D is essentially the same game. It is just being done with penguins instead of dinosaurs. Many of exactly the same mini games are present as well.
The graphics have a similar look. I can tell that many of the menu screens use the same images as well. Which is a real downer for those who play 101 DinoPets 3D. The dinosaurs are actually cuter and more approachable than the penguins are. If you have not played 101 DinoPets 3D then you may want to take a look at 101 Penguin Pets 3D.
This hand held video game lets kids interact with a penguin in a virtual pet simulator way. There is also the ability to play mini games in 101 Penguin Pets 3D. Games like memory, plotting a path while the penguin is skiing, jigsaw puzzles, and more.
Children need to pay attention to what is going on with their penguins in 101 Penguin Pets 3D too. Remember to feed them, bath them, and rock them to sleep. That rocking to sleep annoyed me. It is long and very touchy with that gyroscope control. One mistake and it was back to the menu screen. There is a horn sound in this game that also irritated me.
Kids are expected to complete goals in 101 Penguin Pets 3D. Eat so many muffins, make so many matches in memory, and so on. The items to be purchased at the store are neat. Your penguin wears what you purchase. The 3D in 101 Penguin Pets 3D is adequate.
The skiing
game where we rotate blocks is difficult. I had trouble with it and I am
an adult. Children grew frustrated and walked away from 101 Penguin Pets
3D. This downloadable game is the same price as 101 DinoPets 3D. I like
101 DinoPets 3D better. 101 Penguin Pets 3D feels like a re-skin.
