Adventure Time Season Two

Adventure Time Season Two continues the show in much the same fashion as the previous season. We are now familiar with the characters. The Ice King is shown in a more sympathetic light in Adventure Time Season Two. In fact the whole Nice King episode was fantastic in my opinion.

Adventure Time Season Two contains twenty-six episodes just like season one did. Adventure Time Season Two does have less bonus features. The commentary for all the episodes is there, and one other behind the scenes. But I did notice how much smaller the bonus section was in Adventure Time Season Two.

Ghosts and vampires play a larger role in Adventure Time Season Two. Some of the humor stays gross, and the whole butt obsession continues. Adventure Time Season Two revolves quite a bit around parties. In fact partying is a central theme on multiple episodes. There is a party god in Adventure Time Season Two, as well as bikini babes.

To me Adventure Time Season Two is more of a teenager show. I do not see it for kids under thirteen, especially if you are sensitive to keeping kids innocent as long as possible. The American culture seems to be trying to get kids to grow up earlier and earlier. Which steals away their innocence of youth. Adventure Time Season Two is an example of trying to bring sexual innuendo into the minds of kids.

I noticed some interesting lessons in Adventure Time Season Two. They show the problems with lying, having a lack of self control, and an odd underworld belief system. Adventure Time Season Two also teaches humans are no different than animals. I am still not clear on whether the Susan character is a human or not.

As an adult I am aware of the various teachings in Adventure Time Season Two. I reject the bad ones, and accept the good ones. I found a lot of humor in Adventure Time Season Two, especially in the adult only areas of the show. I am still not a fan of that theme song. I enjoyed the twist ending near the end of the season.
