Angry Birds Trilogy
SCORE: 79
Close to
a year ago Angry Birds Trilogy came out on the Xbox 360, and Playstation
3. Wii families asked: "what about us?" Activision listened, and
responded. Angry Birds Trilogy is now out on the Wii and Wii U. This
home console game contains Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry
Birds Rio.
What is Angry Birds you may be asking. It is one of the original
innovative apps on the iPhone that made it big. You may have seen Angry
Birds T-shirts, party plates, toys, and more. It shows that one
interesting idea can blossom into a huge marketing blitz.
Angry Birds Trilogy is all about launching those birds to get the pigs.
Angry Birds Rio is the exception. In that game we free birds that are in
cages. For this nuance alone, it is my favorite in all of Angry Birds
Trilogy. Players can start at the first level of any world in any of the
three major games in Angry Birds Trilogy too.
Angry Birds Trilogy is easy to pick up and learn. It is all about the
physics and the different skills of the different birds. Some will drop
explosive eggs, others will split into three smaller birds, and more.
The creativity within Angry Birds Trilogy is astounding.
Angry Birds Trilogy can get annoying at times. Especially when you can
not figure out where to launch the birds to get that last pig. I also
wish the guide was on the screen before launching my first bird. Angry
Birds Trilogy is all about trial and error though. Restarting is quick
and easy.
The controls on the Wii work marvelously with Angry Birds Trilogy. I
found it easy to navigate the minimalist menu screens, and it was also
easy to play the levels. The same goes for looking around the screen to
determine where to launch next.
The Wii dominated the last home console war, so it makes sense to have
Angry Birds Trilogy on it. I feel that playing Angry Birds Trilogy on a
home console is a more comfortable way to play. It looks better on the
home television, mainly since it was remastered for that visual output.
