Balloon Blowout

is showing they can do more than just educational games. Balloon Blowout
is a cute little match two or more game with balloons. The kicker is you
do not need to actually match two or more. Before you think I am light
in the head from blowing up too many balloons let me explain.
The first balloon you pop in Balloon Blowout gives you ten points. If
the next one is the same color, then you get twenty points, then thirty,
forty, and so on. If you pop a red balloon, and then a blue balloon they
are each only ten points. For a grand total of twenty points. Why is
this important?
Each level in Balloon Blowout requires so many points to successfully
complete it. If you just hit every balloon that comes up and ignore the
colors you will fail the level. Want to know how I know that? I tried
it. In fact that was what I did in the first level of this app. I did
not understand the concept of the game at that point in time.
There are forty-five levels in Balloon Blowout, and a survival mode.
Kinda light for an app now-a-days since most include ninety-nine levels,
and then add additional worlds later. Balloon Blowout is a good idea
that I think could be fleshed out more in future releases. Being able to
grab the balloons and pull them down is nice.
Families can learn color matching, as well as herding the balloons into
an area they can work with. Balloons will go off the screen if you let
them, and that does not help you. Some diversity in what we do would
have been nice. Balloon Blowout is a solid idea that needed to cook a
little bit longer.
