I have a new favorite fishing franchise and fishing game. It is Big Bass Arcade No Limit on the Nintendo 3DS. This hand held game is the perfect blend of real world fishing and arcade fishing. There is strategy in terms of where to fish, and what lures to use. There is a near arcade feel to reeling the fish in.

The most important thing to do in Big Bass Arcade No Limit at first is to play the tutorial. I know some of our readers think they can play games without tutorials. Trust me on this one, you will want to have the game teach you how to hook the fish. I tried it without the tutorial and could not figure out how to hook them.

Once I was hooking fish in Big Bass Arcade No Limit I was off to the races. Smaller fish are easier to reel in. I had some intense battles with the bigger fish. There is a tension gauge in Big Bass Arcade No Limit. Letting it get too high for too long will make the line snap. Which means minutes of work can be lost.

The 3D looks amazing in Big Bass Arcade No Limit. I enjoyed moving the camera around while I was trying to hook a fish on my lure. I also appreciated the voice telling me a fish was getting close, to pull it in, and which direction to move my rod. Many of these are also written on the screen.

There are seven catch-able fish, forty challenges, ten lakes, tournaments, and free fishing in Big Bass Arcade No Limit. Families will get their moneys worth out of Big Bass Arcade No Limit. This 3DS game also keeps track of your statistics and achievements. Bigger fish appear after you get a new world record too.
