Brain Age Concentration

Oceans of water have flowed under that proverbial bridge. In other words it has been a long time since we have been treated to a Brain Age hand held game. Other companies have been working on the genre, so it is always interesting to see what happens when the originator returns.

Brain Age Concentration does some things really well, and there are some things that are not going to go over well with families. The whole devilish concept is going to hurt Brain Age Concentration. Being able to train your brain in new, and more difficult ways will go over well.

Dr. Ryuta Kawashima returns. His floating head looks nice in 3D. During devilish training, his head turns into a Satanic image. Or at least one of the known and accepted images of the devil. His face turns red, and he grows horns. It can be difficult to accept help and advice of one who looks like the personification of evil.

I liked hearing the doctors voice as he explained how to do a certain exercise. I quickly wound up putting him on fast forward. The chipmunk sound when fast forwarding is quite humorous. Brain Age Concentration can get complex and difficult. I rarely ran into issues not comprehending the directions. Carrying them out was another story.

Brain Age Concentration suffers from some of the same problems previous games in the series had. Letter and number recognition is not always perfect. I wrote a five, and it told me I had written a four. I erased it, and did a five again. The same result came back. Then the game penalized me for writing the wrong answer. To be fair I also just tapped the screen and it wrote a 'i' or 'l' character which was the right letter.

I love the leveling up and leveling down in Brain Age Concentration. If you score 85% or higher you go up a level - it becomes more difficult. If you score 65% or lower you go down a level - it becomes easier. If you are between those two then it stays the same. So you repeat that same level.

Brain Age Concentration is like a flower. The more you play it the more it unlocks, and reveals. I would be totally rocking it in terms of achievements on Raptr if there was some sort of connection to that site. Since Brain Age Concentration is not connected, there is nothing I can do with all my achievements.
