CatDog The Final Season

Nickelodeon is known for some of the strangest television shows on the planet. Guess it is good to be known for something. CatDog The Final Season is one of the shows that fits into that mold. Shout Factory has been picking these shows up and releasing them on DVD. The latest (and most likely final) release is CatDog The Final Season.

The CatDog The Final Season DVD contains eight episodes that take around three hours to watch. The first three are CatDog and the Great Parent Mystery Pt. 1, Pt. 2, and Pt. 3. This is where CatDog go on a quest to find their parents. They explore many of Dog's odd theories. Answers are provided in that three story arc, but there are also questions left over.

Episodes four through eight contain two episodes each. They are Harasslin' Match, Dog the Not So Mighty, Mean Bob We Hardly Knew Ye, CatDog in Winslowland, Cat Gone Bad, The Old CatDog and the Sea, Cone Dog, The Ballad of Ol' 159, Vexed by Kin, and Meat Dog's Friends.

Poor Cat takes a beating in most of the episodes on the CatDog The Final Season DVD. Dog is generally liked more, but shown as a mental simpleton. I am not fond of that rat Winslow who plays all kinds of mean tricks on CatDog. The greasers play a small role in CatDog The Final Season.

The real stand out part of CatDog The Final Season is the whole search for their parents. The importance of a mother and a father to children is astounding, amazing, and intense. It is the best environment for a child to be raised. So it is nice to see an emphasis put on that in CatDog The Final Season.

There is gross images, and artwork in CatDog The Final Season. The voices are not always the most pleasant to listen to. It feels like CatDog The Final Season goes out of its way to say: "I am not a cartoon." Even though it is animation. In other words CatDog The Final Season is for the older members of the family.
