I never played Cubemen, so Cubemen 2 is my introduction to the series. It is a wide open tower defense game. We have a tower to defend, and the other side has a tower to defend. We can move our troops (as we build them) all over the map. We can relocate them at any time as well.

If you like that blocky Minecraft look then you will love Cubemen 2. They have a very similar look to them. There is a fair amount of violence in Cubemen 2. There are a variety of troops in this app. Some shoot guns, others flame throwers, rocket launchers, lasers and more. The cube soldiers explode into smaller pixels that quickly vanish.

Cubemen 2 is an easy game to pick up and play. It includes a tutorial for those of us who need to understand how to do things - like rotate the camera around. It also includes online for those that want to compete against other human beings. There are plenty of maps to enjoy for the single player as well.

I enjoyed the music and special effect sounds in Cubemen 2. I am not sure why we are fighting this other side. This game did not give me much time to think about that. The action in Cubemen 2 is quick and hectic. Before you know it the other side is attacking your tower.

The violence in Cubemen 2 reminded me of Tron. How characters would vanish in the Tron world. It can take a few levels to get used to Cubemen 2, but once you do you will wish all tower defense let you consistently move your characters around. In fact this is one of the best features in Cubemen 2 in my opinion.
