Deer Hunting King
SCORE: 81
Deer
Hunting King is a nice downloadable arcade hunting game. Hunters are
given a choice in Deer Hunting King. They can hunt with a cross bow,
rifle, or a shot gun. These three weapons range in terms of power and
sound. The quieter the sound the less skittish the animals will be. On
the down side you have to shoot them more times.
There are a couple of different modes in Deer Hunting King that will
interest hunters. The Missions are fun, and usually very short. They can
be tough if you do not pay attention to the parameters. There are also
an Instant, Versus, and AR Modes in Deer Hunting King.
The gyro controls in Deer Hunting King felt strange at first. The second
time I played Deer Hunting King, I got deeply into the controls. The key
was to hold the Nintendo 3DS very still or put it down while a level was
loading. Hitting the deer, rabbits, turkeys, bears, and more is pretty
easy with the press of one button.
The 3D effects look okay in Deer Hunting King. There is some definite
depth to this game, especially in areas like where the waterfall is. The
same can be said for deep in the forest, and seeing deer way off into
the distance. The scope can become important in those levels.
Families get a lot of a game for the $4.99 price tag. Downloading the
game means it will stay on the SD card of your 3DS hand held system. No
cartridges to lose. I enjoy the music in Deer Hunting King. It relaxed
me, and helped me focus on lining up shots of the deer. I love the
inclusion of the crossbow.
