Do Not Fall

For years now I have been saying the app approach, and concept to video games will work on the home consoles. Do Not Fall on the Playstation 3 proves me right. There are seven worlds with ten levels per world. Well eleven if you count the special levels - which have to be unlocked by the way.

Players unlock worlds by collecting so many of the golden screws that are in the levels. There are three of them per level, so they can add up fast. But getting all of them is not the easiest thing. In fact they will take you off the beaten path. Levels can be beaten easier by not even trying to get them.

Each world in Do Not Fall has a liquid connection. We have water, green tea, pineapple juice, sparkling water, milk, and more. Each world has its very own look and feel to it. Do Not Fall is not only the name of this PS3 game, it accurately describes what you want to avoid doing.

Many of the floor panels in Do Not Fall fall away. They will come back in a few seconds, so don't freak out (at least one normal mode, I am not psychotic enough to want to try the hard mode). So players have to plan their paths meticulously. Animals, spikes, and other hazards will get in your way. So not only do you have to plot your path based on the flooring, but also what might knock you off.

Falling down can end your level if you have no more continues left. At that point players have to completely restart that level. The dash attack allows us to break through objects like boulders, and boxes. This takes a few seconds to recharge. Do Not Fall is designed in such a way that you will add this into how you progress through levels.

Players can fall off the edges, or be knocked off by different things. There really is no violence as players are quickly reset to their last continuation point. Or the start of the level if you have no more continues on that life. Do Not Fall is very non-violent in my opinion, and that is great to see. We never lash out at the enemies. We can take away flooring so they fall though.

Do Not Fall is a high quality downloadable title that families all over the world can enjoy. The difficulty can get to you, but with some perseverance I know you can make it through these levels. If I could I know you can. The timer was something I had to be mindful of in this game. It was an honor for me to play and review Do Not Fall on the Playstation 3. The multiplayer modes are a real treat for multiple family members.
