This young girl plays doctor on her toys. She finds their problems, puts them down in the Big Book of Boo-Boos, and then provides a solution.

Kids can learn a variety of lessons in Doc McStuffins Time for Your Checkup. The ones I noted were stop eating when you are full, loose teeth, wash your hands, tantrums due to lack of sleep, wear your seatbelt, perseverance, being brave, blurry vision, being too rough in play, dental hygiene, see a doctor when you feel sick, obey the laws, and stay cool in hot weather.

Doc McStuffins Time for Your Checkup contains an underlying message of trusting in, and believing in doctors. It also teaches wonderful hygiene lessons like washing your hands and brushing your teeth. Doc McStuffins Time for Your Checkup is definitely more for girls than it is for boys.

There is one episode where a larger toy is playing and having fun. He accidentally bangs around the smaller toys. He is told he needs to be more careful around the younger, littler ones. He is told he is being too aggressive. Which is something girls complain about boys. We have to be careful not to change what is good in boys and men because we women have such a dominate voice in entertainment.

The characters in Doc McStuffins Time for Your Checkup are almost always helpful. Except the character who goes around stealing stuff. The rest of the characters gang up on him. Apologies come quick in Doc McStuffins Time for Your Checkup, as does forgiveness. There are plenty of wonderful, uplifting and positive messages in Doc McStuffins Time for Your Checkup.
