Galaxy Saver

Galaxy Saver is a space shooter Nintendo DSi game that will also work on the Nintendo 3DS. There is no 3D effects in Galaxy Saver though. Galaxy Saver is selling for $1.99 or 200 Nintendo DSi points. Players protect a mother ship in Galaxy Saver in complete 360 degrees.

Has anyone ever told you that space shooters are hard? Most of them are. Galaxy Saver fits into the genre quite nicely in terms of difficulty. G-Style added an interesting innovation. We protect the mother ship from the invading hordes. So the main game play mechanic in Galaxy Saver is rotating the screen around and shooting whatever is attacking us.

There are two ways to die in Galaxy Saver. First you can get all your ships blown up. Second you can lose the shield on the mother ship and it gets blown up behind you. That right there is what makes Galaxy Saver so difficult. You may be destroying asteroids or ships on one side while there is an attack going on the exact opposite side.

Galaxy Saver requires the gamer to have lightning fast reflexes and intense accuracy. There are two paths the player can take in Galaxy Saver after a level is completed. Getting to all the levels is part of the fun of this hand held explosive shooter. After a level is unlocked it can be played by itself in challenge mode.

Players can use the shield on their ship to absorb the attacks of the enemies. There are also powerful mega weapons that can be used to wipe the screen clean. The on screen radar shows where all the enemies are so getting to their location is a breeze. Galaxy Saver supports DS wireless play.

Galaxy Saver retains an arcade feel. This is felt in the graphics, and audio track. The fifty medals, and unlockable ships are some of the reasons hardcore gamers will replay Galaxy Saver. The price is very fair, and players get a lot of game for their money. It was a real treat for me to play and review Galaxy Saver.
