Goony
SCORE: 87
Goony is so cool and so awesome. He is
this long green blob that moves down this Q-Bert looking stairs. The
stairs have a set width and keep going down the screen. There are coins
to collect and enemies to avoid. Gamers are allowed three hits before
they die in Goony.
As you take hits in Goony your slinky like character loses size until he
is just a small little blob. This can be reversed as coins are collected
and enemies are avoided. Speaking of avoiding things, please be aware
there can be holes in the stairs. Going into a hole will result in an
instant death.
That is all there is to Goony. The hard part is going as far as you can.
Coins that are collected will assist players in terms of how far back
they go to start again. I did not always go all the way back to the
beginning. It all depended on how I performed the last run down those
stairs.
The $1.99 price of Goony is extremely reasonable. In some ways Goony
reminds me of an app on the iPhone or Android. It is a quick and easy
game to get into. It can be played for a minute, or an hour. It works on
the Nintendo DSi, and Nintendo 3DS. Bottom line is Goony is a fun little
game.
The best lesson I can glean from Goony is to plan your future actions.
Since I had to plot out my course while moving down the stairs. It would
be really cool if there were sequels to Goony in the coming years.
