Heathcliff Spot ON

Remember a Nintendo DS game by the name of Heathcliff Frantic Foto?  It was a Nintendo DS game where players must find the differences on the two screens. Rotate the DS around so it is on its side. Before left handed people freak out, they took that into consideration and you tell the game which way you want it. Heathcliff Spot ON is the same game ported over to the Nintendo DSi. In other words it is now downloadable.

Graphically there are color pictures, and black and white pictures. I liked the color ones a lot more. In fact it took me a few attempts to get used to doing this kind of a game in black and white. Those screens can be a lot harder to find the differences. Heathcliff was not known for his gracious acts of kindness, so expect some pictures where he is doing things to get yelled at. Heathcliff Spot ON also contains some tobacco.

The music in Heathcliff Spot ON is upbeat. I had to be careful with the happy music because the timer would expire and I had not found the five differences. The tutorial for Heathcliff Spot ON is mainly visual, but I recommend all of our readers go through it. Learning to hit the 'L' or 'R' button to see the menu screen while comparing pictures is an invaluable piece of information.

Heathcliff Spot ON includes over 120 pictures. Each picture includes multiple variations. That means there can be different differences on the same picture. Fail a picture and you will see what I mean. If you get through all of finding differences, then there is a drawing mode where you can color pictures.

The most irritating thing about Heathcliff Spot ON is the hints. It highlights different areas of the screen that might have variances. More often than not there was nothing different there. Touching them will produce a red 'X'. Too many of those and you lose the level. You can trust me on this, I did it multiple times. With that said I had fun playing Heathcliff Spot ON.

Heathcliff Spot ON is safe for the family. I was not bothered by the two descriptors the ESRB noted. I expected both from Healthcliff. Heathcliff Spot ON is a hard game. It can lead to frustrations. With that said it can be a great game to increase visual awareness. Yolanda asked for a sequel. Heathcliff Spot ON is a port, but it is better than nothing. Plus Heathcliff Spot ON costs a lot less than the Nintendo DS version did in the stores.
