Jump Trials Supreme

G-Style is a company to keep your eyes on. They are showing their mettle with consistent high quality releases on the Nintendo 3DS. Jump Trials Supreme is the latest game to make its way into Family Friendly Gaming Nation. The concept is simple – you have ten seconds to get to the finish button.

Easy peasy should be a breezy right? At first Jump Trials Supreme is simple. There are few jumps and few mistakes that can be made. Then Jump Trials Supreme starts to get more difficult. Platforms flash in and out, platforms drop away, spikes are dangerous and more. Trust me when I say Jump Trials Supreme gets challenging.

We play with a Game and Watch looking character who fits the world this hand held video game is set in. The 3D in Jump Trials Supreme is nice, but turned out to be more of a distraction for me. The special effects and visual reminder when time is running out are very appreciated here at Family Friendly Gaming.

I got into the music of Jump Trials Supreme. Which is something I was worried about before playing this game. I mean the pressure is constantly on in Jump Trials Supreme. Ten seconds go by much faster than you think. So families have to be quick while they are playing Jump Trials Supreme. Or learn from your mistakes and get better next time.

There are only two controls to remember in Jump Trials Supreme. There is moving around, and jumping. The jump button can be pressed while the player is in the air for a sort of Luigi hover jump move. It will get you a bit higher which is needed to reach certain platforms. It can also traverse longer gaps than a normal jump.

With over one hundred stages to play, families will get their moneys worth out of Jump Trials Supreme. We play them ten levels at a time. Which is a nice set. Jump Trials Supreme will frustrate you. It frustrated me. Jump Trials Supreme is just the kind of game the 3DS needs. It is like an iOS or Android app – just better.
