Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters Darkness
SCORE: 76
I am
enjoying the continued exploration of the Kaijudo universe thanks to
Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters Darkness of Heart on DVD. The five
episodes on this disc are Shaw K'Naw, The Taken, Duel Hard, Heart of
Darkness, and Darkness of Heart.
The Dark Realm is the main focus of Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters
Darkness of Heart. The story lines involve that area across the veil.
Which means some scary looking creatures, and much darker content. One
of the heroes even gets trained by the queen of the Dark Realm. Can she
turn her to the dark side?
One thing about Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters Darkness of Heart I
find really sad is the high volume of single parent homes. It shows the
pain and damage splitting a family causes. It shows the damage done to
the children. It also shows how selfish it is for one parent to leave.
The theme of friendship between the humans and the monsters is a
continued theme in Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters Darkness of Heart.
We are also given a glimpse into the driving force behind the Choten. I
understand why he is does what he does. He becomes a more sympathetic
character in Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters Darkness of Heart.
Multiple battles are found throughout Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters
Darkness of Heart. The animation looks good, and the voices continue to
be good. The two bonus features revolve around the card battling game,
and events that were held at stores - revealing new cards.
