LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes
SCORE: 68
LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes has made it
to the Wii U, which is great for Wii U owners. Especially if they have
not previously played LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes. I had played some
of it before so it was a trip down memory lane. A recent trip down
memory lane, but a pleasant one.
Lex Luther and the Joker band up together to cause mayhem. Superman and
Batman team up to stop them. Batman is not really fond of needing
Superman's help at first. Eventually he listens to Robin and comes
around. The really neat part of LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes is when we
get all kinds of different super heroes to play.
The tried and true Lego game play is in LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes.
We go around breaking things, building things, using special suits, and
pummeling bad guys. The fighting in LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes is
pretty mundane. I found myself getting bored with it quickly. In fact I
would skip the fighting whenever this Wii U game would let me.
Alfred gives the heroes in LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes an assist by
providing hints and telling us when to do what. We might need a certain
character with a certain ability, or we might need a certain suit for a
certain character. Breaking objects to find new buildable ones is a key
component to this home console game.
Initially I was very impressed with the graphics in LEGO Batman 2 DC
Super Heroes. I can see definite improvement from the Wii version.
Playing with two players and having the screen split lead to all kinds
of deaths. Which robs the players of studs, and can take away the
Super-Hero rating at the end.
Levels are broken up into smaller parts. Players can save and quit along
the way if they need to stop playing. The story scenes are interesting,
and many times hilarious. The voice acting is fantastic, and part of the
reason LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes is so funny.
All ages may enjoy the humor in LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes, but all
ages can not play this game. Aside from the violence, some of the
puzzles can require thought processes that can confound the younger
members of the family. I am an adult and at times the puzzles had me
stumped. Overall I enjoyed my trip back to Lego Gotham City thanks to
LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes on the Wii U.
