Letter Rush

Letter Rush is a stylish spelling game with some fascinating game play concepts. Words will slowly march across the top of the screen. There are a group of letters on the bottom part of the screen. We have to swipe the letters on the bottom of the screen to spell the words on the top of the screen.

I said the words slowly march across the top of the screen. That is true at first. The farther the player progresses the faster some of them will go. Which was not as much of a problem as the words missing a letter. Oh man, your brain will be working trying to find what the first letter of those words are.

Letter Rush is kind to the players in terms of a hint. The word that is closest to reaching the end will be spelled on the bottom of the screen. At least the letters will be highlighted in the correct order. So if you start to freak out, look at the bottom to get a nice helpful handy hint.

When it comes to spelling words Letter Rush lets us go vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. The only issue I ever ran into was my own big fat fingers got in the way of seeing which letter I was touching next. This only became a problem on words longer than four characters - which most players will get to.

Letter Rush is not being promoted as a brain game, but it is to me. I had to think to try and figure out what some of those words were. I had to use strategy to determine which words needed to be spelled next. And finally I had to concentrate to try and find how I could spell certain words in that jumble of letters.

All in all I really like Letter Rush. It is a fun little game that entertains and educates at the same time. The stylish menu screens, and warm music make this an app to check out.
