Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze

Monster High are these dolls that are teenagers who are also some form of monsters. So werewolves, vampires, zombies and the like. They like to talk a little smack to one another before and after races. They also make corny little references like: "I will sea you at the finish line."

Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze is a rollerblading game. Players get three characters on their team that have different skills, powered up attacks and more. They can also collect items with different characters. The longer a characters is on the race course the more their stamina bar depletes. Get it too low and they slow way down.

A major part of playing Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze is swapping between characters. We can also collect coins. These coins fill up a bar on the upper right hand side of the screen. Once it is full we press a button to go into a super skill that propels us forward and knocks the other characters out of our way.

Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze does not stop there though. This Nintendo 3DS game also grants players an attack. Collect coffins throughout the levels to earn some attack. Things like leaving a coffin that will eat up and slow down another racer. Or launch cards at them to trip them up.

There is a lot of strategy in Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze. In most ways it is a kart racer, but the strategy had me constantly paying attention to multiple things. The 3D looks nice, and the sound bytes ranged. A few of them were annoying. The amount of race tracks is light in my opinion for a 3DS game.

The 3DS version of Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze is a nice port from the Nintendo DS version. It feels like some things have been improved upon. It is easy to go through large portions of a race and not see any other racers. Much of Monster High Skultimate Roller Maze felt lonely to me.
