My Little Pony Equestria Girls
SCORE: 83
My Little Pony is going where it has never gone before - into the human world as humans. Twilight Sparkle is trying to get used to her new station as a princess. She is trying to get comfortable with her new crown. It gets stolen and taken into a parallel world.
Twilight
Sparkle heads into the parallel world, only to find herself turned into
a human. This poor little pony has to figure out how to walk on two
legs, how to use fingers, and to learn the nuances of the human world.
She makes multiple mistakes learning along the way - which produces much
of the humor.
My Little Pony Equestria Girls continues the theme and lesson of
friendship being magic. Human versions of all the major characters are
found in My Little Pony Equestria Girls. They act just like their pony
counterparts. So the characters are familiar to the audience.
My Little Pony Equestria Girls looks really strange at first. The girls
in short skirts and whatnot adds a completely different dimension. The
music is also more modern. I liked the bubble gum pop sounds in My
Little Pony Equestria Girls. Purist may disagree with me.
This movie
runs for around seventy-two minutes. There are multiple bonus features
on the movie and the thought processes behind creating it. There are
also some karaoke songs, printable movie posters, and ponify yourself.
More than enough to warrant the entrance fee.
My Little Pony Equestria Girls is fresh, and different. I appreciate the
creativity that went into connecting with teenage, and pre-teenager
girls. My Little Pony Equestria Girls takes your favorite pony
characters and puts them right into our world. I believe this will
connect with the audience.
