Name It

Are you ready for a trivia app? Please do not go away. I know there may be hundreds or thousands of trivia apps on the market place. Maybe you are tired of answering questions. Maybe your brain needs to zone out on the Family Friendly Gaming Youtube channel. Please hear me out about Name It!

This little app is all about acronyms. Not just the TLA ones either. Don't know what a TLA is? TLA stands for three letter acronym. Name It! has acronyms of varying sizes. Players need to know something related to the subject. So know about JFK, or FDR for example.

In this very divisive liberal and conservative world, Name It! takes a side. It comes down on the liberal side. I noticed this in topics ranging from DNA to FDR. There is also a tinge of the religious belief of evolution in Name It! Too bad the numbers were doctored to come up with the comparison between humans and chimpanzees. Data was thrown out of the comparison if it did not match. Which means it is not valid science.

The multiple rounds in Name It! keep the game fresh. There is always a timer in each round. Players must answer all of the questions in the time allotted. Miss too many questions in a round, and Name It! will end the round. I think it was set at three misses in ten questions.

Matching the acronyms to the sections they belonged to was pretty neat. I also liked the ten true false questions. Be careful because this app likes to get tricky. Maybe one letter is off in that true false question. Maybe the wrong president is listed.

Name It! can help families stay on their toes mentally. It can also teach us interesting information from the past. The United States Postal Service was one of the most interesting sections to me personally. Name It! contains a section on UFO's as well.
