One Piece Pirate Warriors 2
SCORE: 65
One Piece
has sauntered its way back into the Family Friendly Gaming Nation. Will
it leave this review in one piece? Read on to find out. One Piece Pirate
Warriors 2 on the Playstation 3 is a mixture of the Dynasty Warrior game
play style and the One Piece anime universe.
If you are a One Piece fanboy then you need to stop reading this review
right now. Sorry, but you will most likely not appreciate some of the
observations made in this review. If you choose to continue reading,
then remember you were warned.
One Piece is one of the oddest franchises around. Sure that is said by
numerous reviewers referencing things like Regular Show, Ben 10,
Pokemon, Adventure Time, and a whole slew of games. One Piece is a band
of pirates with super human powers. Like a Dragonball Z done on the sea.
Players of One Piece Pirate Warriors 2 are provided thousands of enemies
to kill off in each level. If you watch carefully you can see them
jumping onto the screen. There is a seemingly endless supply of them.
That is until you defeat the larger characters in a room. Then you
capture the room, and your troops will occupy it.
The most impressive thing about One Piece Pirate Warriors 2 is all of
the content. You can play online, offline, story mode, free mode, unlock
videos, look at gallery pictures, and more. There is 7.8 gigs amount of
content in One Piece Pirate Warriors 2. Make sure your hard drive has
enough space for this home console game.
The women in One Piece Pirate Warriors 2 have unrealistic proportions.
To make things shocking for families is how little clothing they are
wearing. Yes One Piece Pirate Warriors 2 is heavy in the enticement to
lust. It is also heavy in the mindless violence. Really after a few
rooms what was the point?
It is easy to kill over a thousand characters in one level of One Piece
Pirate Warriors 2. Multiply it by all the levels you play and you are
well on your way to matching Hitler. Many of the enemies look the same,
and the violence becomes pointless and boring very quickly.
The odd character powers help the players clear a path. Players are
constantly on missions to do things. Capture this territory, beat that
character, save this one, escort this other one, get to that spot on the
map, and more. The dials (sea shell looking things) and the storyline is
the most interesting part of this PS3 game.
Bad language is also a part of One Piece Pirate Warriors 2. Families
should take a look at the lengthy list of descriptors in One Piece
Pirate Warriors 2. It is a strong Teen game on the edge of being a game
for even older members of the family.
