Power Rangers MegaForce
SCORE: 68
It seems
like every year there is a new Power Rangers video game. The Mighty
Morphin team may have missed a year or two but they are pretty
consistent. That tells me Power Rangers video games have to be selling.
I never really got into Power Rangers, so playing Power Rangers
MegaForce was a bit of a chore for me.
Players pick a Power Ranger to go fight with. Don't worry you can change
within the levels too so its no big thing. Inside the levels there are
goals to achieve. Players will find all the coins, defeat so many
enemies, survive so many seconds, and more in Power Rangers MegaForce.
This is what is done in the majority of the levels.
The ugly monsters in horrible looking costumes grow big in Power Rangers
MegaForce. This is when players get into a giant robot and have a
massive boss battle. Well it would be massive if the battle controls
were not so limited. Power Rangers MegaForce rewards aggressiveness. So
get in there, and start swinging. Before you know it, they are all out
of life bar energy. Which means you win.
Power Rangers MegaForce is a game with a little bit of depth. Like the
old Streets of Rage games. The game play is very similar. Power Rangers
MegaForce includes a twist. There are cards that can be found,
collected, and used in the game. Cards can grant the player a variety of
powers. Normally they grant the player a needed skill to move forward in
the level. Like a fire card for an ice wall blocking the path.
The normal mode in Power Rangers MegaForce is really easy. Kids over the
age of ten will have no problem hacking and slashing their way through
hundreds of the same looking enemies. There is a story line revolving
around the bad guys doing bad stuff and the Power Rangers stopping them.
There are numerous levels in Power Rangers MegaForce. It could still be
beaten in a week or two by most kids into Power Rangers. Especially if
they are into Power Rangers. There are verbal and written hints in the
levels explaining what needs to be done next. Kids will not get stuck in
Power Rangers MegaForce unless they play in hard mode.
