Pro Commander
SCORE: 91
One of the things I enjoy doing when
reviewing a product is seeking opinions other than my own. I let both of
my boys try out the Pro Commander from Nyko on the Wii U. The first
comment they gave me was: "It is so soft." They also told me they liked
the black and blue color design, and they like it.
They are not the only ones. I also really enjoy and appreciate the Pro
Commander. It looks nice, it feels nice, and it plays great. And yes it
looks a lot like an Xbox 360 controller. In fact a few people here at
Family Friendly Gaming tried to use it with an Xbox 360.
The large 'U' on the Pro Commander should have been a big hint to
certain people (who know who they are), but we are human and we can all
miss things from time to time. The sync button on the Pro Commander is
easily accessible, but not in a spot where family members will
accidentally hit it.
The rechargeable battery in Pro Commander lasts around twenty-five
hours. Which is a decent amount of time, especially considering the
price of this controller. The Pro Commander is also way cheaper in price
than the Nintendo made controller. For that alone it earns a look see.
The comprehensive consensus here at Family Friendly Gaming is the Pro
Commander is a wonderful controller on the Wii U. It looks good, feels
great, and makes many Wii U games actually playable finally. Little
touches like ridges on the trigger buttons go a long ways in the
longevity of this controller.
