Qumi - Qumi

Technology is constantly changing. New ideas are brought to the marketplace each and every single day. Some of them become international successes, others enjoy moderate success, and some fizzle into the annals of history. NARR8 has some fascinating and interesting ideas. I was recently blessed with a copy of Qumi – Qumi on the iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad.

Let me start with Qumi – Qumi is not what I was expecting. I knew it was more than an interactive book. I was not clear on what that meant. Until I started to use Qumi – Qumi that is. This app lets you try a free episode before you go ahead and purchase the second one for ninety-nine cents.

Qumi – Qumi has cartoon episodes that tell stories. The first one is ten minutes long. Children sit and watch the show. They can pause it, fast forward it, or rewind it. A lot like a Youtube video. The thing that caught my eye was the extremely low price for this amount of entertainment.

The graphics in Qumi – Qumi are bright and colorful. There is some cartoon violence as certain characters will get hit in the head with a variety of objects. In a lot of ways Qumi – Qumi reminds me of Loony Tunes. Usually the cartoon violence has something to do with the humor.

Kids and adults will be laughing out loud as they watch Qumi – Qumi. I chuckled on numerous occasions while watching this little show. Qumi – Qumi is a kids show. NARR8 has more than just stuff for kids. Adults, gamers, and more can find shows that will interest them.

I like the idea of Qumi – Qumi. It helps smaller studios go directly to the people. Let the people decide if a show will succeed or fail. I am tired of executives deciding what is put on television. So much so that I stopped watching TV many years ago. I purchase the shows I want to see more of. Qumi – Qumi is a great way for families to support entertainment they enjoy.
