Rush Bros

Rush Bros is one of the most amazing games I have seen visually in some time. It is also an indie game on the Personal Computer. If you have Steam then you can download Rush Bros for a fair price. These two brothers are all into music. The group Infected Mushroom has their music highlighted in this game.

Don't feel bad if you have never heard of Infected Mushroom before. I had never heard of them before Rush Bros either. The music does thump, and impact the environment of the 2D side scrolling level you happen to be on. There are forty-one levels in all in Rush Bros.

The graphics in Rush Bros also change to the beat. Which makes this PC/MAC game one of the more interesting gaming experiences I have had in years. Running, wall jumping, and sliding through the levels is interesting; but what is going on around the player(s) is totally intense. The color choices may burn your retinas too.

The various controls schemes are great to see. I found one that generally fit my preference. Rush Bros does recommend playing with a controller. A controller generally gives you a better game play experience. Kinect is the one exception I can think of to that particular rule.

Rush Bros is not rated, but it is generally safe. You can run into obstacles and your character is instantly teleported to a close location. I did not damage any other creatures while playing Rush Bros. The goal in each level is to find the goal. Once you get there you can move on to the next level.

In my opinion Rush Bros is a solid platformer that exhibits all kinds of raw talent. When I collected certain notes it would have been nice for some arrow near the door to let me know where it went. Due to the graphics of a few levels I had trouble finding the door. Levels are generally quick which makes me think Rush Bros would work great on hand held devices.
